A tournament to come in Toronto
Great news for subbuteo fans in Toronto. Allan Thronton is planning to set up the first Toronto Subbuteo League tournament in late February or early March, but before he can continue planning this he needs to make sure we have enough participants. We need at least 8 players to commit. The location is undecided yet, but Allan has his eye on a place that can supply a party room for free. There will be an entry fee to help cover costs of the prizes, etc.
Allan is also thinking of supplying some teams to players who might not have any at cost, so if you know anyone who has played Subbuteo in the past, but have no equipment and would like to enter in the tournament they will be able to purchase a team. Allan will also need some volunteers to help organize it and if anyone who can bring their Subbuteo table (with mounted pitch) that would be great!
So please fill out this short questionnaire/RSVP at http://www.torontosubbuteo.com/tournament-questionnaire/ if you are planning to play. Also, please forward this message to anyone who might be interested.
All the fine details and rules will be determined after we reached the minimum 8 players.
You can also email Allan if you have any question. Contact: info@atthistime.ca

Subbuteo Across America 2011
The second Subbuteo Across America will be held on Saturday April 30 and Sunday May 1, 2011.
This year's event will raise money for the American Cancer Society.
We would like to invite all the Subbuteo players and clubs in North America (Canada, Mexico, USA) to take part in this worthwhile event.
Last year 54 players took part, playing 93 games, and raised $204.91. Let's see if we can beat those numbers this year.
For more information and to become part of this historic event go to the Subbuteo Across America web page at SoCalSubbuteo.com/SubbuteoAcrossAmerica or SubbuteoAcrossAmerica.tk.
All participating players will be included in the Subbuteo Across America Roll of Honor.
Note: Twin clubs of the Southern California Subbuteo Club may also take part.
